Kris Jenner has finally filed for divorce from her estranged husband Bruce Jenner. TMZ has obtained the court documents, which were filed on September 22 at the Los Angeles Superior Court.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star filed pro per, which means she's representing herself. Yup, that means no lawyer. Sources say that it's a done deal, and that the couple's business managers have spent the last few months working out a deal.

Kris cited "irreconcilable differences" as grounds for divorce, but according to those in the know, the split is "totally amicable."

Bruce's response is about to be filed for the uncontested divorce.

The couple had no prenup, and since California is a community property state, all property and assets obtained during the marriage should be split evenly. They have already agreed to a property split, which will be detailed in a Marriage Settlement Agreement and filed with the court to finalize the divorce.

The petition for divorce lists their date of separation as June 1, 2013, which means that all earnings since then are not considered marital property. What's his is his, and what's hers is hers since then.

Kylie Jenner is their only minor child, and they'll have joint custody of her.

Wow -- we figured this was coming, but it still sort of feels like an end of an era, doesn't it?

Tonight's Dancing With the Stars season 19 was exciting for many reasons -- one being the fact that the celebrities picked one of their favorite songs for their dance. Thank goodness Bethany Mota picked "All About That Bass" by Meghan Trainor because I cannot get enough of that song. (Did you see how she balanced on the bass?! Fab!)

We also need to seriously marvel over Betsey Johnson's makeover for a second. Wow. WOW! She looks amazing! She's 72! Another standout was when Julianne Hough dropped not one but three f-bombs when judging Tommy Chong.

Tommy Chong and Peta danced to Gloria Estefan's "Higher" (of course they did). It was the salsa and freaking fantastic. There. I just used two "f" words. Chong "brought the house down" just as Peta described. He's 76, but he said he feels 72. Sweet! And this is how Julianne described their performance:

The only way to describe it is a bunch of "F" words. It was fun and fast; foot work was fast. It was fabulous.

Oh Julianne. I really want to love you as a judge as much as I loved you as a dancer. But ... please. Still, she'll never be as questionable as Carrie Ann Inaba. When she judged Randy Couture and Karina Smirnoff (who I thought were stunning), she went on and on with her kooky movements and said she was underwhelmed. Underwhelmed?!? I thought it was great. Not that my opinion counts.

My heartstrings were pulled when Betsey Johnson said that she never felt pretty, and after her partner Tony orchestrated her makeover, she feels pretty. Oh so pretty! I was annoyed with Tony last week. He seemed a little jerky to Betsey after the feather boa flub. And personally I love Betsey Johnson just the way she is -- tons of makeup and all. But she did look absolutely gorgeous in a classic way tonight. I'm so happy she felt pretty! She sure looked it.

I'm emotionally tied to this season of DWTS after being unsure at first. I love Alfonso and Sadie and Leah. I also think new dancer Allison Holker who is paired with Jonathan Bennett is one of the best dancers the show has ever had. She's amazing to watch. Also, I totally think she and Jonathan are smooching when the cameras aren't rolling. If they aren't, they will be by the end of the season.

I think Michael Waltrip is going home next unless some NASCAR fans get to voting.

Sarah Silverman has never been shy about the fact that she has no desire to ever get married, but her most recent comments seem totally over the top. The 43-year-old comedienne took to Twitter over the weekend to shine some light on the status of her current relationship.

The A Million Ways to Die in the West actress tweeted on Sunday, "Just read that I wanna get married which is hilarious b/c I will never get married."

Silverman has been dating her Masters of Sex co-star Michael Sheen for seven months, and if she has her way, he'll never put a ring on it. She has had several long-term romances (she was with Jimmy Kimmel for five years!), but has never been married.

Wait until you hear why. "Why would I want the govt involved in my love life?" she questioned. "Ew. It's barbaric."

Ew? Well, to each their own, I guess.

She continued her rant, taking issue with those who would assume that she even wants to be a wife because of her gender or even ethnicity. "That s--t never bothers me b/c who cares but I feel like this one is bigoted," she said. "The Jew girl MUST want a RING! Yich."

This is definitely not the first time she's made controversial comments about matrimony. In 2010, she told Playboy, "I love going to weddings, and I love it when my friends get married ... I'm not against marriage, but it's just not for me. I'm a vegetarian, but I don't have a problem if you want a hamburger. Marriage, to me, is like eating meat. I think it's gross and f--king crazy ... If you're getting married today, it's the equivalent of joining a country club that doesn't allow blacks or Jews."

Have we established yet that Taylor Swift is basically perfect? I mean, aside from the occasional passive aggressive song that may or may not be about Katy Perry. But this girl knows how to treat her fans.

Like the listening session she hosted at her Los Angeles home on Saturday. Tay Tay invited 35 of her most loyal fans to her humble abode over the weekend for a private listening session to her upcoming album 1989.

She made them cookies, you guys.

Taylor also introduced them to her parents and her cat, Olivia Benson, dished about ex-boyfriend Harry Styles, and shared the meaning behind each track on her yet-to-be-released album. Then she posed for pictures with the fans, let them fondle her Grammys, and told them they could share anything they wanted about the experience except song titles and lyrics.

Nicolas Cage has made some really fantastic movies -- and some not so great ones. But one thing he rarely does is open up in interviews, instead preferring to keep the focus on his craft rather than his personal life.

But the Oscar winner made an exception recently with Britain's The Times Magazine and admitted how he really feels about his critics, why he has taken some of the odd risks he has in his career, and what his secret ambition is.

From roles in critically acclaimed films like 1995's Leaving Las Vegas to blink-and-you-missed-it flops like 2011's Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, there's no doubt that the 50-year-old has made some pretty wide-ranging career choices.

"I'm proud of the chances I've taken. They haven't all worked, but I had a concept and I've pushed for it," he explained. "It's probably annoyed a lot of critics and a lot of people who didn't get in step with it, but I'm proud I did it. Tolstoy said something to the effect of, it doesn’t matter whether the response you get is love or hatred, because you’ve created an effect. What's not worthwhile is when it sits there and people forget about it. But whether people love it or hate it, at least you’ve done something. That gives me some solace.”

He also made the surprising confession about how he really feels about his critics. "I care about what people think of me," he admitted. "Some of the snarky comments people make can get under my skin. I can be a bit of a broken record at home when I read the things that are said about me. But I have to just stop belaboring these things and let it go rather than complaining to my wife all the time."

That would be his third wife, Alice Kim. They tied the knot in 2004 and have an 8-year-old son named Kal-El. Cage also has another son, 23-year-old Weston Coppola Cage, with ex Christina Fulton.

It's hard to imagine that the actor gives a flying flip about what people think of him considering that he named his son Kal-El. That's sort of the epitome of I'm awesome and I know it-ness, isn't it?

Anyway, Cage also shared why he rarely chooses to give personal interviews. He said, "There used to be a mystique and romance surrounding actors ... But now people are more interested in their lives than their performances. It's not about what they do on camera, but what I would describe as their dirty laundry. I've had my share of that."

Francis Ford Coppola's nephew is still extremely dedicated to his craft, even after almost four decades in the business. It's hard not to get jaded about anything after nearly 40 years, but Cage tries to bring fresh authenticity to each role he takes one.

"Every time I start a movie, I want to vomit," he shared. "I really care. I don't want it to seem like I'm acting, I don't want it to look fake. Even if I'm doing a movie where I'm in some sort of supernatural situation, I'm still going to approach it with the same commitment and quest for authenticity. And that may look ridiculous. But, to me, what’s important is that I didn't fake it."

And what would he be doing if he weren't creating onscreen magic? "Something completely different. The ocean attracts me. If I wasn't an actor, and if both my boys were grown up, I would probably enjoy a life at sea. Maybe a fisherman," he said.

Much to the delight of many teenage (and not teenage) boys in the world, Kim Kardashian is the latest victim of a nude photo scandal. Apparently, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star's phone was hacked, and now nudie pictures of Kim will live on forever on the Internet for millions upon millions of people to ogle. It's gross; it's an insane violation of privacy; and I'm guessing it's made her husband, the not-always-chipper Kanye West, pissed.

Since they've gotten married, we've heard rumblings of how Kanye can be a bit, um, kontrolling when it comes to his bride. We've heard that he likes Kim to dress a particular way; hang out with certain people; and avoid doing specific things -- cough-Keeping Up With the Kardashians-cough -- that he doesn't think are high-brow enough for her career. So it's highly unlikely that the rapper is "cool" with naked photos of his wife hitting the Internet (again), and many people are wondering if it will cause a rift between the couple.

When I first heard that there was a chance that Kim felt pressure from Kanye to look and act a certain way, I kind of dismissed it. She's more famous than he is! How could he control her?! But the more I hear, the more I think that there really might be a chance that Kim is, well, under Kanye's spell.

Not long after Kim's photos hit the Internet, she posted a photo of Kanye to Instagram, along with the caption, "I'm so lucky #MyFineAssHusband." I mean, it's a lovely sentiment and all, but the timing is a little peculiar.

This, of course, could merely be a coincidence, and Kim, after having her privacy totally violated, may have felt compelled to post a loving photo of her husband to social media. But there's no denying that it's kind of a strange reaction. Hopefully, it isn't because Kanye's pissed at her that her photos leaked. It may not have been the wisest decision to take naked pics, but hey, it certainly wasn't her fault that they were leaked.

Recently, Prince William went to Malta in Kate Middleton's stead, due to the Duchess' terrible morning sickness. The Duke, assumingly awesome husband that he is, didn't want to disappoint anyone by canceling the royal trip, but he also wanted to let his pregnant wife get the rest she desperately needs right now. Only, it's doubtful that Kate Middleton is getting much rest right now. If Prince William's comments in Malta about their son, Prince George, are to be taken seriously -- poor Kate! The woman's got her hands full right now.

When Malta’s president, Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, told William that she hoped Prince George would be able to come visit soon, the future king joked, "Malta might not survive Prince George. There’s too many precious things around here."

Clearly, Wills was just making a joke about how insane toddlers can be (the little prince is 14 months old), but he certainly makes a good case for feeling (even more) bad for Kate right now. Sure, she has help with her son, but being pregnant with a just-walking toddler isn't fun, no matter how much help you have -- and being pregnant with a just-walking toddler while feeling like you have to throw up every minute? Sounds awful!

Kate obviously wasn't in the position to fly to Malta to make her appearances, and it was incredibly sweet of William to take her place -- not every woman is blessed with flexibility like that. But she certainly shouldn't be chastised for "being lazy" right now (I'm looking at you, Camilla). She may currently be in the comfort of Kensington Palace, but there isn't a chance on Earth that she's kicking back and gorging on Saltines and reality TV right now when she's got a toddler at home with her.

Even though the southern half of the country doesn't exactly get to experience the full effect of fall weather-wise, Bachelorette Andi Dorfman still changed her hair to kick off the new season, and she really does look pretty damn stunning.

But while most women opt to go a shade or two darker to celebrate autumn's arrival, Andi apparently isn't the type of gal who likes to stick to the usual trends.

She may not have gone platinum blond or anything that drastic, but this new look is a far cry from the nearly jet black locks she's been sporting for the past few months.

Yep. She went ombre. And you'll never guess who brought her back to the lighter shade we first saw on her, you know, when she was all hot and heavy with Juan Pablo Galavis. (Let's not forget that relationship did happen.)

I can't lie, I'm not always a huge fan of the ombre look, but I'm digging it on Andi for sure. It totally suits her, and it's such a refreshing change from the darker hue. Can I get a show of hands as to who else is totally excited about Chelsea Houska's new boyfriend Cole DeBoer?!?

Man. Considering the challenges she's had with men in the past, it's about time she found a nice guy to treat her with the respect she deserves. And let's be honest, it doesn't exactly hurt matters that this dude is a total hottie, so Chel is probably feeling all sorts of butterflies right about now.

But even though they haven't been together very long, it sounds as though things between the two of them are heating up faster than we expected.

According to RadarOnline, Chelsea introduced Cole to Aubree, which must mean their relationship is already headed in a fairly serious direction.

I mean, it's no big secret that Aubs is Chel's number one priority, so I highly doubt she'd bring Cole into her life unless she plans on him being part of it for a while, right? If the two of them were just casually dating and she didn't see the relationship progressing, she probably wouldn't even bother to have him meet Aubree. (Seriously, what would be the point?)

Bachelor stars Juan Pablo Galavis and Nikki Ferrell might be trying to save their relationship on Couple's Therapy, but according to Nikki's latest confession, things do not look promising.

In a recent interview with The Boston Herald, Nikki admitted that she and Juan Pablo are still living miles apart -- and it doesn't sound like either of them has any plans to change that:

There isn’t a move planned, but that’s not to say there won’t be a change in the next six months. This isn’t just a relationship between Juan and me, there are other people to consider on both sides. I wouldn’t move to Miami, though. I don’t look cute in all that humidity.

Um, WHAT? While I can totally understand that Juan Pablo wouldn’t want to move because he wants to be close to his daughter, Camilla, Nikki’s excuse doesn’t sound convincing. I lived near Miami for 10 years, and while I totally agree that the humidity sucks, I did it for my husband. When you’re with someone you care about, you do what you need to do to make the relationship work, and this just tells me that Nikki might have something else on her mind.

With that being said, their current living arrangements might make their future very tough together ...

Another day, another photo share from Jenelle Evans, another chance for everyone jump on the judgey train and let her know just what a freaking terrible mother she is. Well, technically, this photo was posted by Jenelle's boyfriend and baby daddy Nathan Griffith, but it was presumably snapped and endorsed by the Teen Mom 2 star herself, and she re-tweeted it on her own account.

Nate tweeted a co-sleeping photo of him and baby Kaiser, but there are definitely some no-nos going on here. That being said, does this couple really deserve to be told they're basically the worst parents in the world and called some pretty nasty names?

Yes, definitely like father, like son. And Kaiser is so dang cute! But let's talk about safe co-sleeping here for a minute.

Of course, this whole thing could be totally staged -- but why is the blanket almost over Kai's mouth? One of the most important things to remember with sleeping babies is to keep blankets away from them until they're much older -- regardless of where they're sleeping.

Commenters were also quick to point out that both Nathan and Kaiser seem to have enjoyed their bottles. There's a baby bottle strewn in the covers, and on the bedside table, there appears to be a bottle of beer. It's blurry, and even if it is an empty beer bottle, there's no way to know when it was consumed. Hey, housekeeping is hard with a newborn around ... it could've been there from another time when Kai was sleeping in his own crib.

Studies have shown a link between consuming alcohol, co-sleeping, and SIDS, so we're hoping that Nate didn't enjoy a brewskie before snuggling with his newborn son under the covers.

Of course, this could just be a cute little staged photo, and Nathan and Jenelle are well aware of how to keeping their sleeping infant safe. But it just goes to show how little some people think of them that they would automatically jump to the worst possible conclusions.

Even though plenty of us saw her split from French Montana coming from a mile away, no one really expects Khloe Kardashian to take back Lamar Odom. He basically broke her heart into a million pieces, what with his alleged cheating and drug use.

They might not be officially divorced yet, but ever since Khloe filed the papers (like a gazillion years ago), it's been pretty obvious that she's ready to close the book on that chapter of her life and start over.

And that's why a report suggesting that Khloe and Lamar are considering getting back together is truly disturbing and kind of a major letdown.

Yes, you read that right. According to Hollywood Life, Khloe and Lamar are talking all the time, and it looks as though a reconciliation might just be in the works.

A source claims:

Most importantly for Khloe, she wants to know how Lamar's doing physically and mentally and that's the biggest reason why she talks to him and has been even after she filed for divorce. Unlike French, Lamar was her world. Her life. It wasn't easy letting go of him and now that he's healthy and looking good and gaming her up, she's getting weak and all those feelings are coming back to life.

Um, seriously?!? She's "getting weak" and her feelings for Lamar are "coming back to life"?

Please, for the love of GOD, let's hope this is nothing more than a crazy rumor; otherwise, Khloe is really setting herself up for a huge disappointment.

Ugh. I don't care how much Lamar appears to have cleaned up his act. Things between them will never be the same again, because the whole "forgive and forget" concept can't exactly erase the past.

She's spent so many months on end trying to legally divorce herself from this man, and if she does break down and give him one last chance? OMG. He's never going to let her sever ties with him ... like EVER.

If she takes him back once and things don't work out, odds are good he'll simply give her time to cool off in the hopes that she'll come crawling back to him again, which could wind up being a vicious cycle that never comes to an end.

The best thing she can do for herself right now is to ignore Lamar completely in the hopes that he'll get the message and finally sign the divorce papers so she can get on with her life. And another thing, he's certainly not helping himself by hanging onto the marriage. Let's just hope he comes to his senses once and for all.

Emma Watson is proof that no good deed goes unpunished. Recently, (normal) folks have been giving her major props after her passionate speech for gender equality at the United Nations. But apparently some bigots nowadays still aren't for, you know, equality and all that jazz ...

A report from Business Insider claims that a user from 4chan, you know, the site behind those other infamous celeb nude photo leaks, put up a countdown. They warned that Emma could become the next star to have her iCloud hacked so the world could see her most private photos on her cellphone/whatever iCloud is.

Sigh. This is so disgusting on so many levels.

As everyone is very aware, quite a few high-profile celebrities, such as Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Rihanna, and Kim Kardashian, had their iClouds hacked and private photos published on the Internet for the world to see. A gross invasion of privacy that surely had many people googling, "what is an icloud?" after all of the photos leaked. And now the site is back in the headlines yet again, with the anonymous user posting an "Emma You Are Next" countdown next to a picture of the actress.

Even though it remains to be seen if these nude photos actually exist, it's still insanely sad that Emma gave a speech over something that mostly everyone should agree on, and instead of effecting change, she's being threatened.

Regardless of the riches, fame, and glamour, at times, it must be tough being a woman in Hollyweird. It's hard to imagine that if a man were to make an impassioned speech like this, he would be threatened in the same way. Here are some of the things Emma said in her speech that was clearly insulting enough to bring out these senseless attacks (sarcasm):

I decided I was a feminist and this seemed uncomplicated to me. But my recent research has shown me that feminism has become an unpopular word. Apparently I am among the ranks of women whose expressions are seen as too strong, too aggressive, isolating, anti-men and, unattractive.

Why is the word such an uncomfortable one? I am from Britain and think it is right that as a woman I am paid the same as my male counterparts. I think it is right that I should be able to make decisions about my own body. I think it is right that women be involved on my behalf in the policies and decision-making of my country. I think it is right that socially I am afforded the same respect as men. But sadly I can say that there is no one country in the world where all women can expect to receive these rights.

And:

If men don't have to be aggressive in order to be accepted, women won't feel compelled to be submissive. If men don't have to control, women won't have to be controlled. Both men and women should feel free to be sensitive. Both men and women should feel free to be strong. ... It is time that we all perceive gender on a spectrum, not as two opposing sets of ideals.

When we all heard about Sugar Bear cheating on Mama June, we were all like, Nooooooo. Love is deeeeeead!!! But then things got a little weird. For one, Sugar Bear denied he cheated on Mama June or was dating. And now it seems like the whole thing is perhaps nothing more than a ploy to boost Here Comes Honey Boo Boo's sagging ratings. If the cheating scandal IS fake, it seems Sugar and Mama are following in the PR footsteps of other couples whose breakups seem suspiciously bogus. Here are nine couples whose relationship woes may have been strictly for business.

Given that it's been a couple weeks since we learned she's expecting baby number two, it almost seems crazy that it took this long for a rumor to pop up saying Kate Middleton is pregnant with twin girls.

Yep. She's not even into her second trimester yet, and somehow Kate and Prince William have managed to learn not only that they have more than one royal baby on the way, but that they'll be welcoming two little princesses in the spring.

Did I mention they've already named them? (Duh. Of course they have.)

Supposedly they're planning on calling them Elizabeth and Margaret, in honor of Wills' dear old Granny and her late sister. (Aww.)

And while the thought of them having twins is definitely worth fantasizing about, something tells me we probably shouldn't go getting too attached to Lizzie and Maggie just yet.

Um, this isn't exactly the first time that Kate has been "pregnant" with two buns in the oven, as these same kind of rumors have surrounded her pretty much since the day she married Prince William. It's almost like some people just can't stand the thought of her not popping out twins, in particular two pint-sized versions of her fabulous self.

And honestly, can you blame folks for being a little excited over the possibility of Kate going from a mom of one to a mom of three in a matter of months? Prince George would no doubt be delighted with two little sisters to play with as he gets older, and let's be honest, their hypothetical wardrobe alone is enough to daydream about.

But for now, let's go ahead and assume that this story is totally false and that there's only one royal baby on the way.

This might be really good news or really bad news, depending on how you may look at it. Fifty Shades of Grey stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson were both spotted arriving at LAX airport over the weekend, as the two are reportedly reshooting a few scenes together for the film.

Either that means the on-screen duo are probably just putting some finishing touches on a few scenes or their chemistry is so awkward that producers are asking them for a do-over. Yikes.

While it’s uncertain as to what scenes they had to re-shoot, there’s a good guess that it was definitely unexpected by both actors. Dakota recently dyed her hair blonde during London Fashion Week and had to re-dye it back to brunette so she could look like her Anastasia Steele character once again (her poor hairstylist!). If she knew she had to re-shoot a few scenes, I'm sure she wouldn't have put her strands through all of that chemical processing!

What's more, there have been a lot of rumors about Jamie and Dakota awkwardly filming their love scenes together and the two have even been accused of“lacking passion” in the movie trailer. While no one knows why they are having to reshoot parts of the movie, it’s NEVER a good sign. Test audiences sometimes randomly dislike a film, which leads to the re-shoots. Either way, someone somewhere is not happy about the way the movie looks.

Let’s just hope the film satisfies fans when it debuts in theaters Valentine’s Day.

In case you've been living in a cave somewhere in Afghanistan and haven't noticed, a lot of celebrities had their iCloud accounts hacked, and their nude photos (which apparently you HAVE to have if you're a celebrity) leaked online. Stars who were hacked include Kate Upton, Kim Kardashian, Vanessa Hudgens, Amber Heard, Amber Rose, Avril Lavigne, Hope Solo, and Jennifer Lawrence. Oh, and let's not forget Ariana Grande. Photos purporting to show Ariana naked as a jaybird (and sporting quite a tan line) popped up everywhere. Ariana denied they were her. Suuuuure, Ariana. But now she has something more to say about it. Something totally unexpected.

The pint-sized vocal powerhouse reiterated to a TMZ cameraman that the photos are not of her:

That's not my room, that's not my cats, that's not my belly button ring, that's not my hair, that's not my profile.

Previously, she said her "l'il ass is a lot cuter than that" -- a reference to the mysterious lady's somewhat flat behind.

But Ariana also had something shocking to say. Not only are those photos not her, she claims, but ... listen to this ... she claims she doesn't take any nude photos. EVER.

Spittake, WHUT?! A young, hot, famous female without nude selfies? What is the world coming to? Ariana told TMZ:

I don't take pictures like that. I swear I don't. I promise.

Wow. Could this make Ariana the smartest young star on the planet? Could be, my friends, could be.

As for the girl in the photos -- the girl Ariana swears wasn't her -- she says, "At least it wasn't me." Now there's empathy!

If this is true, does it mean some of the other leaked photos are fake too? Hell, if naked photos of me got leaked online, I'd just say they were fake. Especially if my ass looked flat. (On the other hand, if the photos looked awesome, I'd be coy about it. Whaaaa, me? Nude photos??)

Man. When it comes to the Dancing With the Stars results shows, ABC is really cutting to the chase as far as letting us know where some of the couples stand right from the very beginning.

And OMG -- who else got up off the couch and cheered when Erin and Tom announced that Betsey Johnson is safe this week?!? She definitely thought she was going home, so it was impossible not to be happy for her. She had to be completely shocked!

And watching her uplifting performance last night and then seeing the rest of the cast support her is honestly what keeps us tuning in each season. I'm sorry, but with all of the crap that is on TV these days, it's such a welcome change to see a little positivity, don't you think?

I'm so happy we'll have the pleasure of seeing her insane flexibility for at least one more week.

And of course, it's a huge relief that some of our other early favorites, like Lea Thompson, Randy Couture, Jonathan Bennett, Janel Parrish, and Alfonso Ribeiro are all safe too.

Oh, and how sexy was Janel and Val Chmerkovskiy's encore dance? Love those two. (And they're totally doin' it.)

That being said, tonight was unfortunately the end of the road for one contestant, and it's really not surprising that Tavis Smiley went home. This simply wasn't his week! But man, did he go out gracefully or what?

And OMG -- thankfully Sadie Robertson was spared! No one is ready to see her leave yet ... she's just getting started with showing us what she can do!

SarahHyland's recent breakup with Matthew Prokop, whom she dated for five years, was apparently messier than anyone thought. The Modern Family star's lawyer Lee A. Sherman of CTSC Law confirmed after TMZ reported that she had been granted a temporary restraining order against Prokop. The site claimed that he had choked her, and was abusive throughout their relationship. They called it quits in August.

Sherman stated, "on September 19, 2014, Ms. Hyland obtained a Domestic Violence Temporary Restraining Order against Matthew Prokop" and that the "documents filed speak for themselves."

The documents accuse Prokop of being physically abusive to Hyland, including an incident last May in which she described being pinned against her car and verbally and physically assaulted as he called her a "c--t" and choked her.

The 23-year-old actress alleged, "His grip was so tight that I could not breathe or speak. I was scared and in fear for my life." 

The documents also reportedly said that Hyland called her TV mom Julie Bowen for help. Her co-star apparently came to her house to help "peacefully end the relationship," but upon her arrival, Prokop allegedly "ran outside into the backyard and began screaming." He is said to have thrown a lighter at Hyland while threatening to burn her house down.

It was also alleged that he did not take the breakup well. Hyland claimed that after ending the relationship, Prokop "relentlessly bombarded [her] with vile, threatening and emotionally disturbing texts and voicemails including his own suicide threats."

Prokop spent time in rehab last month, and the TRO noted that the facility suggested that she obtain the order due to his mental state. The temporary order mandates that Prokop stay at least 100 yards away from his ex, and protects her dog too, since she claimed that once once told her she'd never see her pooch again. A hearing is set for October 10 on whether or not to extend the order.

Holy moly! It just goes to show that you can never really know what's going on inside a relationship, or assume anything about the kind of woman who would stay. If these allegations are true, it's almost impossible to think that a young, gorgeous, successful Hollywood starlet would stay with someone abusive ... but it sadly happens. Just ask Rihanna.
