Breaking news from Hollyweird: Kate Hudson sees dead people. More specifically, she and her mother Goldie Hawn see dead people, only she refers to it as "feeling a spirit." One time Hudson saw the ghost of a woman without a face, which she described as "really creepy." But don't worry that Kate Hudson is being constantly plagued by terrifying energies from beyond the grave, she totally has a method for banishing any spirits who are getting a little too close for comfort.
I ... can't believe I'm actually reporting on this, you guys. But what the heck, it's Friday and we could all use a little distraction, right? Maybe particularly when it comes in the form of a hilariously woo-woo celebrity.
Okay, so Kate Hudson recently appeared on a British talk show and she told host Alan Carr that both she and Hawn can sense "fifth energies":
Me and my mum Goldie can see dead people. It is not really seeing, it is feeling a spirit. A fifth energy. I believe in energy. I believe our brains can manifest into visual things.
You don't have to tell me twice, Kate! One time when I was in college I smoked a LOT of some sort of green plant and my brain totally manifested visual things too. A fifth energy appeared and gave me this really strong message that I should get a chocolate bar and repeatedly dip it directly into a jar of peanut butter while watching like three hours' worth of Ren & Stimpy cartoons.
Hudson says she knows a trick for sending away any unwanted spirits, like the shocking "ghost of a woman with no face" she once saw:
When you see something, you are supposed to tell the energy what year it is and that they don't belong there.
Greetings benign spirit ... I am sorry to inform you that you have arrived at the wrong temporal location ... it is the year 2014, O spirit, and it is probably a time of great confusion for you ... if you need convincing that you should depart for a simpler ghostly existence, please view this video of an entity named Miley Cyrus ...
Hudson added, strangely,
When your brain is freaking out on you, you may have to remind it. Why is being dead funny?
Wait, what? So is she saying that these fifth energies are all in her head? Or is she saying that she occasionally has to talk herself down from being startled by a spirit? And what does she mean, why is being dead funny? Does she think most people view death as humorous? Because, um, no. Not actually a common perception.
In conclusion, Kate Hudson and Goldie Hawn sound delightfully kooky, and possibly like they've indulged in a lot of natural substances that grow from the earth and can occasionally encourage mind expansion in the form of fifth energies and creative junk food combinations.
Do you see fifth energies? Are you going to try Kate Hudson's banishment method soon? Are you high right now?
